Hal is a small pendant lamp. The light source is a metal disc with an elegantly beveled edge containing LED lights. The lamp can be used ‘naked’, or with the addition of a glass shade (3 types) to create elaborate compositions. Hal is a reference to the round ‘eye’ of the HAL 9000 almighty computer of Stanley Kubrick’s 2001: A space Odyssey movie.
ABOUT THE DESIGNER
Guillaume Delvigne is a French designer of the Nouvelle Vague. He worked for Mark Newson before he created his own studio in 2011 and applied his talents to fields as diverse as cooking appliances for Tefal, vases for Hermès, or conceptual design for his exhibition in the best Parisian galleries. His creations share a soft and subtle approach of materials.
