Oviedo (Spain), Patricia Urquiola currently lives and works
in Milan. |
| 1989: |
She attended the faculty of architecture at the Polytechnic
institute in Madrid and then in Milan where she graduated in
1989. |
| 19990-1996: |
From
1990 to 1996 she developed new products for De Padova and signing
her name on the products "Flower", "Loom"
and "Chaise Longue" with that of Vico Magistretti. |
| 1993-1996: |
From
1993 to 1996 she opened an associated studio (with M de Renzio
and E. Ramerino) and deals with the architectonic design, franchising,
showrooms and restaurants. |
| 1996: |
From
1996 onwards she was manager of the Lissoni Associati design
group for Cappellini, Cassina, Kartell, Artelano, Antares-Flos
and others. At the same time she independently designed for
Moroso, Fasem, Liv'it, Tronconi and Bosa and designed stands
and sales outlets for Knoll, Sag 80 and Moroso.
She participated in "Abitare il Tempo" in 1998, 1999
and 2000.
Her products were selected for the Italian Design 2001 show
and International Design Yearbook 1999 and 2001 |

In
2001 she was on the jury for the 19th cDim Design Award and
contributed as lecturer at the Domus Academy "Designing
Exhibition" course. |

currently carries on her professional activity in her own design
studio in Milan. |
